Bakery Manufacturing Facility – McCalla, AL

Byers proposed and planned the complete process-electrical package for a bakery manufacturing facility, focusing on the ingredients rooms, mixers, ovens, oxidizers, and receiving areas. The work is organized against a detailed milestone schedule that sequences submittals, site mobilization, area-by-area installation, start-up support, punchlist, and final completion to ensure safe execution and on-time turnover.

Scope encompasses power distribution and rough-in for process equipment; raceways and cabling to control panels; and device terminations across dry ingredients, liquid ingredients, mixers, ovens, and oxidizers. The package includes EMT/rigid raceways, stainless or aluminum basket tray where specified, and VFD/controls cabling with auxiliary pairs for motors and I/O, along with commissioning assistance for loop checks and system verification. A unit-rate table defines installed materials (e.g., stainless conduit, aluminum basket tray, VFD cables) for any scope variances.

Execution follows the milestone schedule: submittals and reviews, site setup, IMP ceiling prep, installation in dry ingredients & receiving, B5/B6 oven and mixer phases with oxidizers, liquid ingredients buildout, phased start-ups, punchlist, and completion—each coordinated with the owner and other trades to minimize disruption and maintain quality. Testing and inspection are per specifications, with safety, insurance, and staffing qualifications documented in the submittal for a clean, maintainable installation ready for production.
