At a food manufacturing facility in Robbinsville, New Jersey, Byers delivered a comprehensive upgrade of walking and working surfaces—platforms, stairs, ladders, and skylight fall-protection—planned around normal business hours (Monday–Saturday, 10-hour shifts) with select tasks staged on weekends to minimize disruption to production. The work combined demolition, replacement, and new installations to improve safe access and maintainability across multiple areas.
Scope included unloading multiple deliveries; installing 24 skylight fall-protection screens; replacing roof and interior access stairs and ladders; and providing new step-overs and an oil-room access platform (including temporary disconnect/reconnect of process piping with new gaskets, pipe hangers, and epoxy-anchored supports). Weekend premium work covered several new access platforms, ship-stair installations, mezzanine-to-mezzanine access, and equipment-adjacent ladders (e.g., steamer/cooler and dough-room locations), with dust protection/containment, surface repairs, and grinding/flush cuts as required. Guard rails and handrails were modified only where specified, using compatible railing components.
Execution emphasized safety and coordination: area access planning, lift/rigging where needed, epoxy anchoring with capped fasteners, and patch/repair of affected floors and walls. Byers removed all demolition debris, worked to a jointly developed schedule, and utilized a laydown area for efficient staging between weekend mobilizations. Inclusions covered all labor, material, and equipment; standard exclusions applied (e.g., site facilities by others), with weekend work generally defined as Saturday–Sunday.
