Dry Blending Facility – Glendale, AZ
At a dry blending facility in Glendale, Arizona, Byers proposed a fixed-rate program providing equipment, material, and labor for a turnkey mechanical installation. Work planning targeted normal business hours—Monday through Saturday, 10-hour shifts—to coordinate safely with parallel trades and align tie-ins with a scheduled holiday shutdown for minimal disruption to operations.
Scope includes unloading, unpacking, setting, and anchoring bulk bag unloading systems with associated screw conveyors, hoppers, hoist and trolley drives, and dust collection; installing a high-shear mix tank and skid; and furnishing a batch tank, agitator, and skid. Holiday-shutdown tie-ins cover CO₂, steam, condensate, CIP supply/return, and additional utility connections as listed in the statement of work. Necessary process valves (instrument air shut-off, steam/condensate block, and drains) are furnished and installed per specification.
Piping installation encompasses designated systems and sizes for liquefied/solution service, CIP supply/return, steam, washdown hot-water, CO₂, process air, and condensate, with all lines insulated per project standard. The package includes all required materials, equipment, and travel; excludes electrical work, dumpsters, and any specialty valves not identified in the scope; assumes equipment is rigged to ground-level locations; and notes that final roof patching is by others. The revision reflects updated routes and lengths and incorporates CO₂ venting per addendum.
