Food Manufacturing Plant, Vineland NJ
Byers executed a targeted electrical retrofit to modernize a spiral freezer line at a Vineland, New Jersey food manufacturing facility. The project centered on relocating the main control cabinet and extending the 400-amp service to support a renewed controls architecture, while sequencing work around freezer construction to protect the thermal envelope and maintain code compliance
The team fully removed legacy power and control conduits from the original panel to all motors and devices, then—after the new freezer walls were erected—installed fresh aluminum rigid conduit and new wiring from the relocated cabinet to each load. Using a weld stud gun for supports, Byers avoided penetrating or compromising the freezer walls, preserving insulation integrity and long-term performance.
Lighting upgrades completed the scope: freezer-rated LED luminaires inside the enclosure and washdown-rated LED fixtures around the perimeter, mounted with aluminum nipples through 4-inch freezer-style ceiling panels. The result is a clean, maintainable installation that enhances safety, serviceability, and reliability for sustained production.
